This weeks provision focused on celebrating the many festivals we are having this time of year.

This week in phonics Reception have learnt all phase 2 sounds. We will spend the next half term going over these sounds with a focus on blending. 

In english we have been looking at a variety of poems and identifying rhyming words. In maths for Reception they have been investigating more or less. Year 1 and Year 2 have been focusing on subtraction and finding the difference. 

We have also been creating Autumn leaf wreaths, exploring pumpkins, making halloween potions and finding intial sounds. 

In art we have looked at the artists Ken Done and created landscape drawings of Cambridge using oil pastels, in PE we have been orienteering. In topic we have been looking at a Victorian Seaside holiday and how they compare to a modern holiday.
