In Mars class we would like children to:

• Read at least four times a week at home.  This needs to be recorded in their reading records by an adult.  Reception and Year 1 have phonics packs with tricky words and phonics sounds. These should be revised regularly.

• Weekly spellings will complement learning in class; these will be checked in school.

• Maths homework will be set through Mathletics.  Our expectation is that children will complete 2/3 set tasks by the class teacher. Our monitoring of this will be per calendar week (Sunday to Sunday).  Work completed using this program will be checked by class teachers and children that gain over 1000 points receive a certificate in celebration assembly. 

• For some half terms we will set an optional project that should be completed over a number of weeks.  This will go alongside reading, spellings and Mathletics tasks.
