Week ending 16/01/26

In maths, we have been multiplying fractions by integers, mixed numbers and other fractions. Next week, the children will be dividing fractions.

In English, we've continued to read 'The Last Wild'. The children have analysed the text to learn more about the main character and have written a character description, including ing clauses and relative clauses in their work. We're all looking forward to reading more next week!

In topic, the class plotted the locations of significant eruptions and earthquakes on a world map, practising with coordinates in a four-quadrant grid, using compass directions instead of negative integers.

Year 6 had a fruitful first SATs Booster session. Everyone got stuck into the activities and had great attitudes. Next week, the KPA children will be staying on for the afternoon to have a Young Voices rehearsal.
