Fractions, fractions and more fractions. We've subtracted fractions where one denominator is a multiple of the other, subtracted any two fractions, subtracted from mixed numbers and subtracted from mixed numbers where the children have had to break the whole. It's been a challenging week and the children have shown great resilience.

In our topic lessons, the children have been exploring the geography of the Maya region and have even made 3D maps to show the physical geography. We had our last dance lesson of the term; the children enjoyed putting their own choreography in the routine and rehearsing it. 

Our computing lessons this term have focused on communication and collaboration – specifically how devices can work together over the internet. Next week, the children will be collaborating to make a fact file about Mexico.
