W.C 4th May:

Please enter an introduction for your blog post here.

This week in Maths we continued our work with time. We developed our understanding of seconds, minutes, hours and days, months and years. We also found durations of time. In English, we used our plan from last week to write the beginning and middle of our own story inspired by The Great Kapok Tree. In outdoor learning, we used pastels to create textured artwork using pieces of nature. In RE we explored how different worldviews and religions decide what is right and wrong. In topic we researched and wrote fact files about different animals you would find in the rainforest. In Science, the Year 3s learnt about the part that flowers play in the life cycle of flowering plants, whilst the Year 4s used a classification key to identify animals. Finally, in Art we started our new unit and we explored the work of Anni Albers and how she used different textures in her work.
