This week in Maths we focused on perimeter. We spent time discussing how we work out the perimeter of shapes and specifically finding missing lengths on rectilinear shapes. In English we started reading a new text, Danny Chung does not do Maths, and we spent time reminding ourselves of persuasive writing features and then moved onto looking at discussion text features. In French the year 3s looked at different actions within the classroom and the year 4s looked at clothes. In Topic we spent time labelling different parts of a river and discussed the upper, middle and lower course. In Music we looked specifically at musical notations. In RE we started our unit of diversity within Christianity. We spent time sorting our core beliefs and beliefs of some. In Science, the year 3s learnt about magnetic poles and discussed when they attract and repel. The year 4s built more circuits and then experimented with insulators and conductors. Finally, in DT we explored pneumatic systems and discussed inputs and outputs.
