This week in maths we have been practicing using column method for addition and subtraction. We have been finding this tricky but we have worked hard to keep trying and using resources to support us. In English we wrote a character description about The Iron Man and then ended our unit of work by watching The Iron Giant. In Art we explored different printing techniques and this lesson we created our print using string, painted it and then used this to create prints. In PSHE we spoke about respect and how we can improve listening skills. We also shared our Black History Month homework projects. I was very impressed with the effort and knowledge showed. In Music we listened to the song Mamma Mia and learnt to sing along as well as play the recorder to the song. In RE we spent time learning about Ramadan and Halal and Haram foods. Finally, we ended the week with our last PE lesson with Mrs O and in Science, the Year 3s spent time exploring animals different diets and discussed what carnivores, omnivores and herbivores are. The Year 4s set up their investigation into which liquids can effect teeth.
