Science

At our school, science is a vibrant and essential part of the curriculum, sparking curiosity and encouraging children to explore the world around them. Through hands-on investigations, outdoor learning, and engaging experiments, our pupils develop a deep understanding of scientific concepts and a love for discovery. We are proud to hold the Primary Science Quality Mark (PSQM), which celebrates our commitment to high-quality science teaching and learning. This page showcases the exciting science experiences happening across the school and provides insight into how we nurture inquisitive minds and scientific thinking every day.

On the 18th December 2025, our children dived into an exciting day of learning as we celebrate Maths and Science Day with the theme of Measurement! ðŸ§®

The children engaged in three hands-on activities designed to make measurement fun and interactive. Mars and Little Stars created their own sycamore seeds and measured the distance they could travel. The children showed great enthusiasm whilst exploring measurement. Meanwhile, Jupiter and Saturn had been putting their bodies to the test by measuring the distances they can run, skip, and hop. Lots of energy, teamwork, and mathematical thinking on display!

At the end of the day, they were awarded with Certificates of Achievement to our Super Scientists and Magical Mathematicians for outstanding participation and enthusiasm!
