This week in maths we have started our work with time. We spent time telling time in 5 minute intervals, one minute intervals, learning when to say 'past' or 'to', how to read a digital clock and learning the difference between 12 hour and 24 hour. In English we wrote our own piece of persuasive writing and then planned our own version of The Greak Kapok Tree. In RE we started our new unit based on how religion can help people. We then spent time discussing the differences between rules and guidance. In Computing we continued our work with scratch and learnt how to code infinite or repeated loops. In PE we continued our work with hand eye co-ordination and batting. In Topic we learnt about the different layers to a rainforest and the characteristics of these. In Science, the year 3s identified and described the functions of leaves in flowering plants, and the year 4s classified animals into specific groups according to their characteristics. In outdoor learning, we created art using nature we could find on the field. Finally, we ended the week with the YR6s coming to show us their amazing projects. Enjoy the long weekend!
