This week in Maths we have continued our work with Fractions. We spent time finding non-unit fractions of a set of objects and numbers. We then finished our work with fractions by completed problem solving and reasoning questions linked to this. In English we read The Great Kapok Tree and then made inferences about the characters and then planned a persuasive argument from the perspective of a character. In Computing we started practicing our coding skills on scratch, we spent time learning how to make shapes using programming. In PSHE we starting our work with managing risk and we spoke about what risks are and how our body may react to risks. In PE we focused on batting skills and hand eye co-ordination. In Topic we spoke about what a biome is and the features of the Amazon Rainforest. In Science, the Year 3s took part in an investigation to investigate the way in which water is transported within plants and the Year 4s worked on grouping organisms according to their characteristics. For outdoor learning, we created some artwork by sketching what we could see on the field and using some fallen pieces of nature to create texture. Finally in DT, we started our unit on microbits.
