Please enter an introduction for your blog post here.

This week in Maths we have continued our work with multiplication. We spent time working on grid method to multiply two or three digit numbers by 1 digit, then we ended the week looking at related multiplication and division facts to help up multiply or divide by 10 or 100. In English we continued looking at our text 'Marcy and the Riddle of the Sphinx'. We spent time writing in role as either Marcy or Arthur, inferred information about Arthur through illustrations and discussed reasons for and against for Marcy to follow Thoth's demands. In French the year 3s explored classroom instructions and the year 4s explored different fruits and how to say if they like or dislike them. In Computing we started looking at data branches and we spent time exploring the difference between open or closed questions. In PE we spent time exploring different movements and balances in gymnastics. In Science the year 3s had their first lesson looking at forces, and identified the forces used for different objects and movements. The year 4s looked at electricity for the first time and identified objects that require electricity to work. In our class art lesson we explored Egyptian art and took inspiration from these to create our own. Finally on we spent an afternoon with Mars Class, we created artwork inspired by Paul Klee.
