Saturn Class has had a productive first week back after the Christmas break. 

In maths, the children have revisited formal methods for long multiplication and division, including using these methods for worded and multistep questions. 

'The Last Wild' is our new text for English. So far, the children have explored the front cover, map and the first couple of pages of text. Following our initial look at the book, they are very keen to hear more.

On Friday, we celebrated a day of culture and diversity. The children came to school dressed to represent the diversity of our world and completed activities in school to explore this further. In Saturn, the children researched a country of their choice, finding out about traditions, language and other interesting facts. The children also thought about their own core beliefs, and completed a creative activity to represent them.
