W.C 8th December:

Please enter an introduction for your blog post here.

In Maths this week we have spent time looking at area. We discussed what area is, how we calculate this and then compared different areas. In English we explored 'Fantastically Great Women Who Changed the World’. We recapped our understanding of key features of non-chronological reports, then we planned and wrote our own based off a woman of our choice from the book. In RE we finished our unit by answering our enquiry question Why is food important to different faiths? In topic we explored Anglo-Saxon artefacts from a range of sources. We had a lesson focused on Christingle and we wrote acrostic poems with the word Christingle. In PSHE we created posters to show our learning from our unit based on rules and responsibilities. In Science, the YR3s looked at how shadows form and why the size of shadows change. The YR4s discussed how water changes state. Finally, we ended the week with a DT lesson. We planned our own recipe ready for next week to create our own Anglo-Saxon inspired pottage.
