Saturn Class returned bright-eyed and bushy-tailed from their half-term break, ready to get stuck back in to learning.

In English, the children have been continuing to develop dialogue, to include actions, emotions and thoughts. Whilst in exciting writing, they each wrote a job advertisement to recruit pok-a-tok players for a match against the Maya god of rain, Chac. 

In maths, we have been practising using written methods for long multiplication, with everyone already either using or moving towards compact method, which is great! We will be continuing to work on multiplication next week also, before assessment week.

We finally got around to recording the children singing 'You've got a friend'. The photo for this weekly update is of the children nervously giggling beforehand! Next week, we'll be completing the unit of work with a recorder performance.
